Not really because they were never put back together numerically. Those few that were was a coincidence.Because of car shortages, and the R27/30's were linked by couplers but not drawbars, it was easy to match up any left over car whose mate needed major main shop work with another, as long as they wound up with odd-even. Why the same wasn't done with draw bar linked cars, irregardless that it was a longer job due to link bars, is curious to me. |
