Tell that to the people in Puerto Rico, many of whom are probably still without electricity. Technology is great, but there has to be a backup plan. I used to think that technology was even greater than great, but having worked in IT for 18 years now and having seen its dark side, cash and even gold coins start to look attractive. All our digital wealth can be wiped out by fiat if times change for the worse. |
