Today, if the electricity goes out in a store or bank or office, it will probably close, even though all of those facilities could once function quite nicely without it.It's quite hard to operate any of those without lights. It's been a long time since businesses had a window in every room so that they didn't need lights, and even then that wouldn't work after dark. |
