I think the “suicide tunnel” refers to the unused trackways south of 36th St on the 4th Av BMT. Supposedly the engineer in charge of construction for that section killed himself when it was realized part of the station couldn’t not be used as it was built in the wrong area or something to that effect as the story goes. There is a relay room south of the station above the tracks that was supposedly the section of station that was abandone before use. |
