I have some phots in my collection of a similar accident on the T/Sq Shuttle in which 2 track walkers were struck by a train near the G/Cent end on tk 1. They are even more gruesome than the photo in the article since one of the employees had his leg totally amputated by the train and you can see him lying on the track with the medic attending to his bloody stump. What is interesting about it is that one of the employees was white and the other was black and the while employee was being attended to by a white medic and the black employee was being attended to by a black medic even though this was NYC and it wouldn’t be expected that there would be any sort of segregation but it seems there was just a bit. |
