But the Shuttle is sort of a special case, a half-mile, 90-second run with no intermediate stations. Other than being horizontal rather than vertical, it has more in common with an express elevator than a typical rapid transit line; there's not as much need for seating for reasonably ambulatory passengers.Alan Follett Hercules, CA |
