Re: the Livonia line extended to Newlots, I always wonder how they handled it seeing that the first crossover after Newlots is just east of Junius St. Did they terminate on track 1 at Pennsylvania and then wrong-rail to the crossover? Or maybe the tracks and switches were done to Newlots, but the stations were not ready, so they fumigated at Pennsylvania and ran light to Newlots to reverse. If Livonia yard was open by then, they'd have to be able to access the yard, unless all the trains were stored in the Bronx. |
