It looks like there is a piece that was extended out from beneath the car floor to actually touch the platform, leaving no gap. Good for people in wheelchairs, or simply people too distracted to "watch the gap". But if so, the mechanism for that would probably preclude the possibility of having trapdoor stairs for low platforms. |
