The thumbnail loco is the Great Northern's U-class 4-4-0 205, which was also built by Beyer Peacock. Interestingly enough, the first five U-class locos were built in 1915, but the second set of five were built in 1948, making them the last all-inside-cylinder steam locos to be built on the planet. |
