Posted by kp5308 on Sun Aug 27 21:52:49 2017 Reading Blue Mountain & Northern RDCs sit at North Reading: Ountelaunee Builders is on schedule to have the "Outer Station" done by the October 1st inaugural Fall Foliage trip deadline:  SW8 #802 & SW8M #803 at Tuckerton:  The 802 was built as a "standard" SW8 with MU on the cab end only while the 803 was equipped with dynamic brakes & has factory MU with the raised end handrails on both ends. The Lehigh Valley (original owner for both) added the front MU but did nothing else to the 802. Note the differences between them:  Red Executive GP39RN #2534 is fresh out of the paint booth at Port Clinton. The ex-Santa Fe GP30 dries in the sun between an ex-Grand Trunk Western SD38(L) & an ex-Missouri Pacific SD50(R):  Open air car #9 Autumn Breeze came down from its Lehigh Gorge Scenic duties for some brake work. The car was rebuilt from former CNJ commuter coach #1300 that was acquired from Rail Tours Inc: 
Up at Schuylkill Haven 2 of the 3 new acquisitions sit to await a full rebuilding. F7As #250 & 251, ex-Southern Railroad of New Jersey #727/728, nee-Bessemer & Lake Erie #727A/728A will be worked on as time permits. Duane tells me the RBMN is so busy he finds it tough to get track released for MOW work so these 2 may be sitting here for a while awaiting shop time:   I still don't know where the SRNJ RDC1 is... If you are looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend the Allentown & Auburn will have the Pennsylvania Brill doodlebug #4666 running 3 round trips between Kutztown & Topton PA on September 2-3-4. Take I-78 to the Kutztown exit & follow PA 737 South to Main St. Turn left to the track...station is on the left:  More info:
