SNCRR is 100% low platform, yet they use(d) them anyway. The conductor pushes a metal staircase to the doors near the center of the pair, and the other side people would cross into the vestibule of the adjacent trapdoor-equipped car. Not sure how they are ADA compliant with such a setup, but there it is.Alternatively they can use just their regular vintage coaches, but using those for commuter service seems wrong somehow. |
