I'm waiting for the point where NY State gives up and just admits that a lot of what the MTA does is little more than workfare.Actually, I'm not waiting, because the state will never be that honest with anyone. I saw the same crap with Nassau's sewer system - that mess is a fucking nightmare and will be for another 5-10 years under Suez, simply because it's going to take that long to unfuck the decades of mismanagement the county did. The sad thing is, the feds rewarded them with SandyBucks™ so now they have like a billion or so to just dump into the system with no idea what to do with it... |
