But beyond the trestle, there are heavily-trafficked street overpasses within 2 short blocks on either side of the trestle. One can be seen in the picture. If you run tracks at grade, then they would have to swoop up at an impossible angle to get over those overpasses. All this would be major disruptive construction. |
