You just might be right. With the height of the NH equiptment with their resister cover humps on top of each car having no problem fitting into GCT, wire might just fit. AS far as the overhead 3d rail used to power engines over long 3d rail track level switch gaps all those years ago, last time I looked, its still there.
Who knows, it might still be energized. The folks I knew that I could have asked have retired too.
