The traffic on the 3rd Ave Bridge and from the southbound FDR Drive to the 59th Street Bridge is jammed for large portions of the day with people intent on getting from Westchester to the Island of Long* without paying a penny in tolls. (It happens in the other direction too, of course, but is less obviously visible.) * That is, the whole island, including Queens and Brooklyn. |
