My understanding is that the diesel rule is an MNRR one that can be suspended by management as necessary, rather than imposed by an external authority. That said, the train had *two* engines so it must have left quite an impression!I'm also guessing that they used the middle tracks in the Park Ave tunnel, as the lack of a front escape hatch prevents them from using the outside tracks (or I may have this backwards). |
