Although there may have been some remnants of that junction visible from the street as some posters have indicated, by the 1960s it was not visible from the structure itself. I rode Myrtle quite often from 1959 on until its demolition and was both a C/R and a M/M on it in its last years of operation and was never able to see any trace of it from the trains. A similar situation exists with the Bway Bkln el near Gates Ave. While you can see traces of the Lex Av ell connection from the street, nothing is visible from the trains. |
