I'll try to keep this post short, since I've written this before in an earlier thread a several months back - I think in response to a post of yours.I saw the structural evidence under the Myrtle Ave. el for bot of the turnouts for Hudson St. & the Old Main Line. David Rogoff had cited them in his mid 60s ERA bulletin article about BMT- BRT abandoned structures/ stations. I was walking under that section of the el (reason why is in the earlier post) in October '69. I was able to look up and clearly see the both turnout trackway remains, as built into the Myrtle's structure. I had the camera with me. And no, didn't take photos. Should have. |
