That would explain why the route to the north (lines C1 and C3) starts out going south west, then turns north east!That part of the line was built to serve the 1900 World's fair from St-Lazare. The history of line C is about connecting existing lines with the least work. But it's such a troublesome line that my Parisian friend says it "n'existe pas". Lots of breakdowns and closures. |
