Well thanks to Trump it looks like Caltrain will keep flying the American flag so I'm pretty optimistic.

Yes, so it's going to remain the slow line that feels like the West Coast version of some diesel line on NJT instead of being something remotely first-wordish that I'd actually ride. I've jokingly argued that I stopped planning trips in the US because I get more value going to Europe to railfan.
