That was then, this is now.There are far heavier penalties for running a red signal than there were 50 years ago. I can see the way the train operators come into 14th Street from the north. They are very hesitant and stay far behind the train ahead of them. Years ago they'd hit a signal just as it turned from red to yellow. Now you're lucky to see them go through even a yellow signal ever. |
