It wasn't a big deal when the B was turning at 57th & 6th, because it was just one stop. I don't want to get too far into hypothetical service patterns here, but if the Manhattan Bridge tracks had not needed to be closed for reconstruction and the 63rd St Tunnel opened on time (the two projects were independent of each other), then it might have been necessary to make a distinction between the two B services. |
