There is still claim to be had to be on the first train from Coney Island to venture into the new line. There were many "first trains" yesterday:
1. The 12:00 from 96st, first to use the northbound track (weird).
2. The 11:55 put in, first to use the northbound track in the correct direction and to carry passengers from 63rd/Lex to 72nd st.
3. Your train, the first to bring people from Coney Island to the second ave line.
4. The second wrapped train (which included car 9030) which was the first to use the full southbound track.
5. The lay ups staged at 72st and 86st, which look like they opened for service at the stations they laid up at. So anyone who boarded those were the first customers carried on parts of the southbound track.
