And it is not the first time that a museum car has had problems like this. IIRC, R-17 car #6609 was part of a consist in regular service on one of the holiday runs along the #7 some years ago, and somehow, and possibly, the brakes locked up on the car at Times Square. Getting that one out of there was no mean feat either, and #6609 has not been seen since, not even back at Court Street.-William A. Padron ["SMEE"] |
