"During the Lenox shut down of the 19890s, the #3 terminated at Atlantic Av during midnight hours, and during middays M - F Lex Av service also terminated there so thee is precedent for such an operation."Was this during the time-periods when the #2 was running on the Lexington Avenue line between the Bronx and Brooklyn, and this version of the #3 was used to provide westside service? It might take me a while to hunt down the subway maps of that era. Mike |
