It doors closed all right, but the guard light stayed on. We were at one of the stops on the Astoria Line and several people were jiggling each door leaf while the conductor watched the guard light. When the door leaf that was at fault locked, the conductor yelled, "I got it!" The I heard this timeless quote up front at 100's cab: "If you get indication, just go." They were using the buzz-buzz highball at each stop once it was determined all the doors were closed if there was no indication. |
