Sadly, the details are not as rosy. Many of the "saved" jobs are desk jockeys who were not going to be moved south; and a second plant in a nearby town is moving south taking six or seven hundredmore jobs. The key issue to watch is whether United Technologies (Carrier is a division) gets any favors in the next round of DOD corporate welfare. |
