The lengthy article in today's NY Times (11.28.2016) said it had two steam engines. Is this correct? Did the shaft run through, so when it was pushing with the rear propeller, the front was pulling? Thanks. Joe: The BINGHAMPTON had two - 2 cylinder compound steam engines. I'm not sure about the shaft but I believe that you are correct. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
