I also had my own "last run" on the Redbirds- it was Monday, October 6, 2003. I knew the end was coming, but at least as I remember it, the TA was being vague as to exactly when that would be, and I had no "inside source".So- on that nice fall day, I rode out to Flushing- I'm not sure if it was a 62 or a Redbird (more likely a Redbird)...but I definitely caught a Redbird that I rode to Grand Central. I noticed a few other people with cameras that day as well. My next time on the IRT-SMEEs was on the Fan Trip (I think it was March of Dimes) on Sunday, June 20, 2004. |
