Back in the day before we had so called “line managers” the zone trainmaster would make sure that if the mainline were running late, the shuttle would be held to make the connection with at least one of the mainline services. Now with each line manager looking for the best on time performance trains will leave on time regardless of how badly it screws the passengers. |
