Rail freight makes sense because it takes lots less labor to get a 200-car freight train somewhere than sending 200 trucks to do the same job. The 200 trucks each need at least a driver. The 200-car freight train might need just a very small crew. Around here, those 200 drivers are going to be paid to sit in traffic. If the infrastructure were there, it would get lots of use. When is the Port Authority going to build the project that it was created to build 95 years ago?
