From the pictures 7044 looks almost as bad as the New Haven line sideswipe a few years ago. The other cars though look like a "simple" (as far as these can go) trip to the body shop would be all that is needed and they'd be right as rain.I don't think they will be repaired. Those cars are at least 15 years old. The LIRR will probably add about four more M-9's to the order to replaced the heavily damaged cars. Bill Newkirk |
