If the route we took had a number, it was almost never displayed on bus signs. If a city-bound bus was running local through Cedar Grove, it would show, "New York City P. A. Terminal via Lincoln Tunnel." If it was running express via US 46, it said, "New York Express." Going the other way, buses would say either, "Newfoundland" or, "Newfoundland Express." On one occasion, a bus was showing a route 30 sign with similar destination info. |
