AFAIK, anti climbers are strictly a rapid transit/streetcar/light rail device although I have seen a few interurban cars that had them. There are really no standard RR coaches that I can think of and that includes commuter cars that have them. I believe that the real purpose of anti climbers was to prevent the telescoping of cars within a train as well as other trains and as I maintained before, they really aren’t applied on heavy RR coaches.
