And to think, those two stations came within about 10 days of being closed permanently back in, what, the 1980s? The closures had been announced about six weeks, maybe two months, ahead of time. Almost no one paid attention until some local pols started complaining with two weeks or less to go. A few days later, the MTA reversed the closure decision. |
