VERY interesting. Yes, I see the bricked up arches on the SOUTH side. If you navigate around you can also see arches on the north side not bricked up.And, as far as I can tell, that structure is on the exact spot the station was - Sands between Adams and Washington. And I agree it looks pre 1945. If that's a remnant of the station complex it's a major find. Has to be researched further. When I get a chance I'll try to look at pictures of Sands St station again and look for architectural details. |
