And the ex-BMT Fulton Street Elevated Line along Liberty Avenue in Queens, currently used by the IND Division "A" line, is 101 years old today!From my original post just a year ago, but for the record, and as confirmed, the last day of BMT service on that section was on Friday, April 27, 1956 at the conclusion of the evening rush hour service. It became an IND Division route, connecting with the new Grant Avenue station that opened on that day, the following Sunday. The Liberty Avenue Elevated Is 100 Today! -William A. Padron ["119"] |
