The BMT Standards were a low bar to compete with - they were slow and had only 3 sets of doors, with a center post. The TA never gave a shit about the Eastern Division anyway, and its customers were politically impotent.OTOH, the Southern Division would have created quite a customer backlash had they gotten them to replace the Triplexes. |
