I even have names for some of the trunk lines.The CPW stretch is the Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice Line. The IND Queens Line is the I Love Lucy Line. You have Ethel, Fred, Ricky and Lucy (McGillicuddy). The BMT 4th Ave. Line is the Honeymooners Line. You have Ralph, Norton and Trixie. The IND Fulton St. Line is the Abbott and Costello Line. Now at Euclid Ave. we have Who's on first, What's on second, I Don't Know is on third. And least but not last, the entire BMT Eastern Division is the Three Stooges Division!! Curly, Larry, Moe and sZemp take center stage. On top of that, the Broadway-Brooklyn Line is the Howard Line and the Williamsburg Bridge is the Howard Bridge. Every rush hour you're treated to the Howard Brothers on Parade. They need to hang a Stooges banner over the tracks on the bridge proclaiming, "Welcome to the Three Stooges Division. All Stooges - all the time." |
