Correct. According to the book “PCC The Car That Fought Back,” any car which had PCC developed components or on which royalties were paid to the President’s Conference Committee were considered PCCs. Additionally, many innovations developed for PCC streetcars were used on rapid transit cars which are referred to as PCC rapid transit cars. Interestingly, although they are not referred to specifically as PCC rapid transit cars, the NYCTS R-11s had a PCC designed truck called the “Model E” which while developed by the PCC, was an outside frame truck and not the usual inside frame truck associated with PCC equipment.
