We do not know because the MTA is only looking at bus travel times and ignoring passenger trip times. Long distance riders are definitely helped, however the average local bus trip is only 2.3 mikes, a fraction of the average subwatpy ride.If it takes you there extra minutes to walk to an SBS stop and three extra minutes after you get off and the bus portion of the trip is five minutes shorter because of SBS, you tell me if the rider is better off. |
