Trout on Wed Jul 27 01:28:02 2016. True, but as I mentioned in my post, It probably wouldn’t be a problem since those curves can negotiate 75 ft cars. Even the curves at Marcy, Bway/Myrt, Alabama and Crescent St/ Cypress Hills shouldn’t present any problem as long as the center excess doesn’t exceed that of the BMT steels. The problem may arise if open gangway cars are tried on the IRT since that is the division with the tightest clearances and also has station platforms which may impact on an increased center excess as well. |
