Well, this is the risk of any "temporary" service cutback for "maintenance". My 1987 NYCT map promises restoration of F express service- and weren't two lines in Boston "temporarily" closed- the A and one branch of the E?That's also why the upcoming work on the M makes me a little nervous- but only a little. Here in NYC, community pressure prevents the bosses from enacting major closures anymore- and they'll need the M once the L shuts down. But I won't relax completely until the M job is done and service restored. |
