NYCT has fantastic weekend schedules by comparison. And when they fully cut service, for example the 7 line not going to Manhattan, they typically try to not screw over the alternate routes (and will often increase service such as sending the Q to Astoria).Meanwhile in DC, lets say the blue line has to run at 15 minute intervals, the Orange and Silver lines will reduced to 15 minute intervals as well to keep things "balanced" despite the construction not even being on their route! |
