Posted by chuchubob on Mon Jul 25 00:56:49 2016 The NRHS convention unofficially ended Saturday after the participants returned from the Leadville Colorado & Southern RR trip.   As the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days took place this weekend, the NRHS added a Sunday photo chase bus on the outside chance that the UP 844 rebuild would be accomplished in time for it to pull the UP business train, which makes several trips between Cheyenne and Denver. Sunday was the deadhead return from Denver to Cheyenne with employees and their family and friends on board (no $700 tickets sold). business car Cheyenne  Rio Grande Heritage Unit to assist 844 with the 22-car train   The bus left the yard before the train in order to get a runby at Gilcrest, CO  After Gilcrest we were able to catch up to the train allowing me to get grab shots from the wrong side of the bus.    The train made a service stop at Greeley, allowing us to get ahead for one more runby.
