Actually,there was a time when the Eastern Div had the best and newest BMT equipment and that was in the late 1930s on, with the assignment of the Multis to the 14 St Line. Then in the early 1950s, the newest cars on the NYCTS, the R-16s were assigned to the Jamaica Line even though they ultimately turned out to be operational disasters. |
