So I figured I'd check out the official MTA site. I went to the "maps" tab, and got a 503 error- "out site is currently unavailable".Then I went back about 2 minutes later- the site is back up, and shows the actual existing service pattern. I guess some of the bosses thought better about showing service that does not actually exist, and I caught them in the moment of making the switch. Enthusiastic as I am about the SAS, I don't think it's smart to show service that doesn't exist in any form yet. Of course, in the 1970s old maps were left in place for years on trains and in stations- so in 1977 or so, some folks may have gone looking for the MJ...but I digress. |
