I'd compare it to the upgrades that Amtrak gave to the ancien New Haven line east of New Haven. Some grade crossings, fully wired, but the 100/125 mph is really peaking at selected moments with a lot of slow downs for curves.FWIW, once you've done 320 km/h on a high speed railway, everything else seems much slower. Even 135 mph on the Acela seems "slow". |
