No stone trains have originated from Glen Mills in probably 4-5 years now since septa made the track south of South Elwyn excepted track. They tried to strong arm amtrak into paying for upgrades to the line and of course amtrak refused so now they get its ballast elsewhere. There was talk recently about stone trains coming from Glen mills again but I'll believe it when I see it. It was fun as an amtrak engineer to run ballast trains at night. No more sigh :( |
