edf40wrjww2msgDetail:detailStr fiogf49gjkf0d About 2/3 of the way back to London from York the engine driver puts the train in the Big Hole. We stop just before reaching a station and a couple of minutes later the conductor comes over the PA and and tells us that a pedestrian crossed over the tracks at the station just before our train got there. The driver needed "a few moments to compose himself and then we'll continue our journey to London."
Damn! Here's our train when it arrived at York this afternoon, a Virgin Trains DVT (Driving Van Trailer). No. 227 is being pushed and used as a cab car. Many more pictures to come after I get back home and process the photos.
